EAPG Vintage Higbee Paneled Inverted Thistle Double Handled Celery Spooner Vase. An antique clear pressed glass.
Paneled Thistle was also officially known at Higbee’s as the "Delta" pattern.
This was primarily produced in the early 1900s, with many pieces dating from around 1910–1920.
Celery was considered a luxury food during the Victorian era and early 1900s, so these handled vases were used as a type of elegant tableware to display fresh celery in water as a centerpiece or snack for guests. Also used to store spoons or a Vase. Excellent condition!
This is an original Higbee piece as it features a small "bee" image molded into the bottom of the glass.
